Christmas 2009

The Pritchett family had a wonderful White Christmas this year! We stayed home and it was perfect... Although we we missed the rest of our family, it was great for Santa to visit Reese for the first time at home. Reese was into Christmas as much as she understood this year, I think the best part is when she woke up Christmas morning and we took her in the living room to for her "Santa" gifts. She LOVES her wagon, tent and American Girl doll. Even though it was freezing, we bundled up and took the wagon out for a spin on the ice! She cleaned up on the toys this year! I need a professional toy organizer.....
It was fun to spend the holidays with my moms side of the family, it has been over 5 years since we have all been together! The Cali crew were the only ones missing and we missed them BUNCHES! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season!

The twins are doing WONDERFUL, just kicking like crazy. 2010 is their year as of 1/1/10 we are hitting their nursery full force! It is hard to believe they will be here in less than 15 week! YIKES!!
We'll have an update on them Jan 7th...

Not a BIG Fan...

Reese was NOT the biggest fan of Santa this year... Paul and I felt so bad after we put her on his lap this year. She was fine until I let her hand go, then she lost it! All in all, she has loved the holiday season and I know that she will love Santa once he comes Christmas morning!

Better Late than Never....

I have been a VERY bad blogger lately... It feels like we have been running in 1000 directions this month with the holidays. It has been lots of fun, just busy.
At the beginning of November, we took our last trip to Nashville for a while. It is always fun to go and visit and as usual our weekend was full of excitement. I think the highlight of Reese's trip was riding on Papa B's John Deere tractor. For some reason, this little girl loves John Deere's. (Anytime we are at The Olson's she insist on riding it the entire time) She and her daddy had fun much of Saturday morning playing on it. It was a great visit and we are sad that we won't be able to get up there for a while...

The biggest news of November is that we found out that we are expecting IDENTICAL GIRLS in late March / early April. Daddy is officially out numbered!! (and it looks like it will stay that way since we don't plan on having anymore children.) We are extremely excited and know that Reese will be the best BIG sister to them. Not to mention, I truly believe these three will be thick as thieves. At our last appointment, everything looked wonderful and they are both growing and developing perfectly. We have another sono tomorrow so I will scan and post some pictures from it. I look forward to starting their nursery as soon as we get through the holidays... So, for now enjoy a picture of our precious little Reese.

Thanksgiving was a our house this year. Paul's mom, Uncle Turtle and Aunt Jessica came into town to spend the week with us and my parents and family joined us for the day. We started a new tradition this year that will continue and that is frying our turkey. I know that is does not sound healthy, but it is SO good. Paul had been planning, researching and looking forward to this for weeks. We went out and got all the gear and it was a success! The turkey was AMAZING! I am not a fan of turkey prepared any which way, but this was so good! Good Job Paul! Some of the rest of the weekend was Aunt Jess helping me get all my Christmas decorations up, not sure I could have done it without her this year! All in all, we had a great week and weekend with family.
Last weekend, Paul and I took our last little "getaway" until who knows when. :) We headed up to NYC on Thursday morning for a long weekend. This was Paul's first trip there and mine to see the famous tree all lit up. We had SO much fun! Once we landed, we hit the road running! Paul and I saw just about everything that we could in 4 days, with a bonus of getting on TV during the Today show. We were walking through Rockefeller Center and noticed that Robert DeNiro was in the studio so we decided to wait to see who was interviewing them and it was Matt Lauer (my favorite) and the next thing you know we were on TV with our parents calling from TN and TX. Very funny. We ate good food, shopped in SOHO and on 5th Avenue, went to see Ground Zero, had wine at the Plaza and took a carriage ride around Central Park. Our best surprise was Carrie and Ed taking the train down from CT. We miss them and don't get to see them often so we made us for lost time and had a ball.

Lastly, this was Reese's last week at school until after the first of the year. On Thursday, her class had their little Christmas party. Reese sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus" and had fun playing with her friends. Here are a few pictures from her day...

This sums up our month for the most part. We are going to visit Santa this week, take a carriage ride through downtown Grapevine and have a fun playgroup on Wednesday... Oh yea, we also get a sneak peak at our girls! I will do my best to get the pics up sooner.

15 Months

WOW! We can not believe that our sweet baby Reese is 15 months old! I took Reese for her check up last week and she is healthy in every way. Here are her stats: Weight - 23.5 lbs (58 percentile), Height - 31.5 inches (88 percentile), Head Circ: 18 inches (46 percentile). Dr B said that she is tall and slim... which is perfect! He also told me that she got and A+ in all of her developmental areas. That consist of: walking / running, climbing on ANYTHING she can find (she LOVES stairs), helping us dress and undress herself, pointing to a few body part when asked and clapping.
Reese has become a wonderful sleeper, which is good since she was not so fond of sleeping the first 7 months of her life! :) She will now sleep 11 - 12 hours a night with TWO 2 - 2.5 hour naps a day. It is so cute, when she is tired or ready for a nap she will go into her bedroom and get her lovie and paci and then come back to us and point to her crib. From there, we read books which she LOVES! She has cut her first 4 molars and we are waiting for the K-9's to come through. Reese loves to eat and loves her water and milk. She does not like juice which is fine with me.
She love to talk, but will not repeat anything when asked. Her words so far are: dada or daddddy, mama, no no, Gigi (my mom), Dazie (she loves her puppy dog), yum and a few others. Reese loves to be outside and playing. If she hears the door open she comes running and wants to play in her car. She also LOVES her bath, when she hears the water she runs to me and holds her hands up to get it. Too cute.
We never thought parenting could be so much fun, but we are loving every moment with our precious girl! Here are a few recent pictures from her first professional photo session.

Twins Debut - 15.5 Weeks

The Pritchett TWINS make the their blog debut!

We are almost 16 weeks, but still do not know the sex of the babies. The last two sonograms they have told us different sexes, so who knows. Most importantly, they are both healthy and happy. Baby "A" seems to be laid back and very corporative and baby "B" seems to be the busy one. It is amazing to see them move and to see them grow together. What an amazing bond they will have throughout their life. As of last Thursday, they are 4 ounces each and 5 inches long. I am feeling great just tired by the end of the night b/c their BIG sister keeps me on my toes.

Birthday Party, Hayrides & Pumpkin Patch

Funday Sunday with Mommy and Daddy! Today, we went to a birthday party today at a pumpkin patch and Reese had so much fun! Reese went on her first hayride to feed cows and donkeys and even met a brand new baby calf. She did not know what to think about either animal and stayed very close to daddy. Then after cupcakes we went over to the pumpkin patch for some pictures and to let Reese drive the tractor which she LOVED! What a fun way to start fall....

Hanging Around the House

With Reese being on antibiotics for the last 10 days, we have been pretty much house bound.... Here are a few pics with her favorite new riding toy and in her little chair that she loves so much.

What a Weekend!

Today is officially Reese's 14 Month birthday, I can not believe how fast time has gone!

Poor Reese had a pitiful weekend. It started out last week with a stomach bug early in the week and then progressed into full blown coughing and wheezing this weekend. Early Saturday morning, Reese and I got up early and headed to Cook Children's to see what all the coughing was about. After about a 4 hour ordeal, they say "just" allergies.... The she was sick again Saturday night, so I panic about the flu! I called the after hours and talk with them... same thing, must be allergies. I am thinking, "I don't want my poor child to have allergies all her life." :( Then Sunday morning, sick again... so after a long weekend we finally went to Dr Benzick today and she has a sinus infection! So, here we come amoxicillin. Oh yea, did I mention that Paul got food poisoning in between all of this.... Fun times! We are hopefully on the mend!

In spite of our weekend, Reese just keeps us laughing and smiling each day! She is now fully running, doing "cheers" with us at dinnertime and trying to talk. Reese and Dazie are still the best of friends. When Reese wakes up from her naps Dazie runs too her door and waits for me to open it and then darts in to give kisses. So sweet. In the past few days, she has really begun to want to drop her morning nap which is good with me because then we can get out of the house earlier for more fun. Reese is such a special little angel to us and love watching her grow each day!

**Pics to come when we can finally leave the house.

1st Day of School

Reese started school (Mother's Day Out) last week with her buddy Claire. These girls have been buddies from birth! Claire is 4 days older than Reese, so we have done a lot with them over this past year.
My sweet girl was not too sure about school but I have had nothing but great reports from her teachers. I have to say it is SO great to have 5 hours a week to myself, but have to admit I sure do miss my pumpkin every minute! I can not wait to see the adventures that await these precious girls!!

GO REBS!

We left Reese for the first time this weekend for a quick trip to Memphis for an Ole Miss football game. Paul and I met the Pritchett family there for some family fun. We stayed downtown at The famous Peabody and had a fun night out on Beale Street, then went to the Ole Miss pep rally the next morning before the game. This sure does make me miss the carefree days of college..:) While we missed our baby TONS, we had a wonderful time.
